The world's largest car carrier, the "Shenzhen", was officially delivered and set sail in Jiangsu, with plans to its voyage to Brazil after completing vehicle loading operations at the Taicang Port this week. The "Shenzhen", with a total length of 21.9 meters and a beam of 37.7 meters, has 16 decks and is equipped with 9,200 standard loading spaces, making it the car carrier in operation globally.

The vessel adopts the latest LNG dual-fuel clean power technology, equipped with a series of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly devices, such high-efficiency and energy-saving main engines and a re-condensation system. Its carbon emissions are 37% lower than the baseline of the International Maritime Organization' Energy Efficiency Design Index, meeting the latest environmental standards of the organization. With the addition of the "Shenzhen", which was put into operation this time, this the fourth large car carrier that BYD owns and operates independently.
