(Nengdong, August 5, 2024) The groundbreaking ceremony for the Nippon Paint Asia Pacific R&D Innovation Center and Nippon Paint Magic Packaging Base was held in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. As an important component of Nippon Paint's global R&D and manufacturing system, the project will fully ensure product innovation, research and development, and implementation, further deepening Nippon Paint's core strategy of "in China, for China", while fulfilling the firm commitment of "in China, for the world", and accelerating the vigorous development of new quality productivity in the coating industry.
The Nippon Paint Asia Pacific R&D Innovation Center constructed this time will undertake Nippon Paint's product research and application research in China and the Asia Pacific region, continuously launching color matching and scene based solutions that conform to market trends, and meeting the needs of the Chinese and overseas markets. In addition, Nippon Paint Magic Paint is an integrated wall comprehensive solution based on standardized construction delivery, and the packaging base under construction will focus on the automation function of Nippon Paint Magic Paint. In 2020, the Nippon Paint Asia Pacific R&D Innovation Center and Nippon Paint Magic Packaging Base project signed a contract to settle in Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, committed to building an efficient innovation ecosystem. It is expected to be completed in 2026. Along with the construction of the project, Nippon Paint will continue to uphold the corporate vision of "using technology to build the most valuable ecological platform and become a leader in overall coating solutions", increase investment in innovative research and development, continuously promote industrial upgrading and sustainable development, and inject vitality into the high-quality development of the Chinese economy.
